WHAT IS A PET TRUST?
A pet trust is a legally sanctioned means of protecting your pet and securing their future. Not every pet trust covers everything you need.
A good pet trust ensures that your directions for the care of your pet will be carried out. You may describe the care that your pet should have, including details such as how he likes to be walked, his favorite food and the veterinarian you prefer.
But be warned, if you use the pet trust in a Will then those instructions are not enforceable.
The Pet Protection Agreement® pet trust can be filled in without the help of a lawyer. The other pet trust must be created from scratch.
The pet guardian is the person or organization you choose to take ownership of your animals when you are unable to care for them.
